Mount Kenya University 14th Graduation Ceremony Date, Schedule and Details
The management of Mount Kenya University (MKU) has released the Congregation Ceremonies Date Schedule for the 2024/2025 academic year. We have published the MKU 14th Graduation Ceremony Date and Schedule below has released the MKU official website.
The Chancellor, of Mount Kenya University, Prof. John Struthers on behalf of the University Council, Management Board, and Senate wishes to inform all our esteemed graduands who have qualified for the conferment of degrees and various University Academic Awards, that the 14th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, 3rd August, 2024/2025.
All prospective graduates should note the following.
MKU GRADUATION VENUE AND GRADUATION DATE:
The graduation ceremony will be held at the Mount Kenya University, Graduation Pavillion Grounds Thika- Garissa Road on Friday, 3rd August 2024/2025 at 9.00 am.
MKU GRADUATION CEREMONY
The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor Prof. John Struthers, who will award Diplomas and certificates and confer Degrees.
Guest Speaker: Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, Vice-Chancellor, Makerere University
- Theme: Financing Higher Education in Africa for Quality and Sustainability.
MKU GRADUATION REGISTRATION AND CLEARANCE
Prospective graduates are required to register and clear online for graduation through the University Management Information System at this link https://studentportal.mku.ac.ke. The graduation registration process will be closed on 25th June 2024/2025. Students can follow the instructions below to register:

- Click Information Update
- Personal Information – Graduation Application Section
- Select Graduation ceremony then click Graduation Registration to save
Graduands are required to have cleared with the University by 5th July 2024/2025 for their names to be included in the graduation booklet.
MKU GRADUATION VERIFICATION OF ACADEMIC RECORDS AND ORDER OF NAMES
All graduands are requested to verify their names from the 25th of June 2024/2025. Any requests for changes in spelling and order of names should be done within this period at the respective campus admission office.
The Senate-approved graduate lists will be posted on the University Website;www.mku.ac.ke
MKU GRADUATION REHEARSAL
All graduates intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, 2nd August 2024/2025 at the Thika- Garissa Road Graduation Pavilion Grounds at10.00 a.m.

MKU GRADUATION GOWNS
Graduates are expected to be in full graduation attire for both the rehearsal and the graduation ceremonies.
The graduation gowns will be hired from 23rd July 2024/2025 to 1st August 2024/2025 and will be collected from the respective Deans of Schools at the Main Campus, Thika, and from the Examination Offices in respective campuses during office hours.
The hired graduation gowns must be returned by the 17th of August 2024/2025. Any delay in returning the gown will attract a daily charge of Ksh.500
MKU GRADUATION PUNCTUALITY
On graduation day, all graduates will participate in the graduands procession in order of their schools at 7.00 am. Graduands and their guests will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.00 am. Those arriving late will not be allowed into the graduation grounds.
