High-achieving undergraduate and graduate students worldwide who decide to enroll at the University of Western Australia are eligible to apply for the Global Excellence Scholarship.
University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship 2025/2026 | How to Apply
As stated in their offer letter, the Global Excellence Scholarship is an annual tuition price reduction for the awardee’s regular full-time study duration. You might get up to AUD$48,000 over four years for qualifying undergraduate courses or up to AUD$24,000 over two years for eligible postgraduate courses with this scholarship.
University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for Global Excellence Scholarship, the applicant has to meet all of the following criteria:
Students from all countries are eligible. You will need to:
- Have received an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia
- Have achieved an equivalent:
- minimum ATAR 85.00; or
- minimum WAM 65.00
- If studying an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00
Undergraduate Eligibility
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible undergraduate bachelor degree or Assured Pathway course. The following exclusions apply:
- Assured Pathway to Medicine
- Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine

Postgraduate Eligibility
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible postgraduate degree (by coursework). The following exclusions apply:
- Juris Doctor (20820)
- Doctor of Medicine (91850)
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (91860)
- Doctor of Optometry (91590)
- UWA Micro-credentials
How to Apply
The scholarship is automatically awarded to those who are eligible based on ATAR/WAM requirements. Separate scholarship application is not required. Please submit an application to your chosen course.
The Admissions team will automatically assess your eligibility for a Global Excellence Scholarship once you provide your final transcripts.
If you are not satisfied with your admission outcome, you can request an appeal of the decision by emailing the Admissions team at admissions@uwa.edu.au. If following your appeal you are not satisfied with the outcome you may submit a formal report to the University via the Online Report Form.
