University of Zambia Postgraduate Admission Form 2023 – Official List of UNZA postgraduate Courses offered for admission, minimum entry requirements, and How to apply for UNZA admission online.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to read for postgraduate programmes for the 2023 Academic Year at the University of Zambia.
1. School of Humanities and Social Sciences
(a) Master of Arts in Defence and Security Studies (Taught)
The applicant must possess:
(i) A Bachelor’s degree in any field from the University of Zambia or any
recognized institution of higher learning;
(ii) A Prospective student may be interviewed and assessed by the relevant unit or department before being recommended to be Board of Graduate Studies for admission; and
(iii) A candidates may also be admitted on the basis of relevant military qualifications such as PSC (Passed Staff College) and Diploma in Defence and Security Studies which have been appropriately accredited by the Defence Services Command and staff College provided that he/she has accumulated at least three years of relevant experience in the security sector.
2. School of Education
(a) Master of Arts in Physical Education and Sport
The applicant must possess:
- Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree with a Credit or better in Physical Education and Sport, or any other related with a credit or better.
- Bachelor’s degree with Credit or better in any other field with at least 5 years of traceable experience in managing sport.

These programmes are available in ALL the Schools and further information may be obtained from the addressees given below or from Assistant Deans (Postgraduate) in the respective Schools. Candidates for admission to Doctoral Studies should posses a Master’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant field.
Research Affiliation Scheme
The Affiliation Scheme allows a researcher from outside the University and /or from outside the country to be affiliated to the University of Zambia for the purpose of conducting research. This is available in all Schools and the Institute of Economic and Social Research. For further information, please contact the Research Affiliation Officer at the Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies.

Obtained from the University of Zambia Website or Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies. Completed application forms should be accompanied by a payment of a non- refundable application fee of K150.00 for Zambians and US$60.00 for non-Zambians. Postal and Money Orders are no longer accepted. Money should be deposited into Account number 0100110272200 Standard Chartered Bank Main Branch Lusaka (making payment for application).
