Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Requirements for Master’s Applicants

To join a Master’s program, meet these rules:

1. Apply for entry to Makerere University.
2. Hold a bachelor’s degree from an African school.
3. Prove you need money help.
4. Do not have another scholarship.
5. Do not already own a Master’s degree.
6. Show work leading groups or helping your community.
7. Be 35 or younger. Refugees and people with disabilities can be up to 40.
8. Show you care about new ideas in climate.
9. Plan to finish in 2 years.

Eligibility Requirements for PhD Applicants

For PhD spots, you need:

1. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from African schools.
2. No other PhD or scholarship.
3. Proof of money need.
4. Past leadership work.
5. Age 40 or under. Refugees and disabled applicants up to 45.
6. Research idea that fits climate strength.
7. Plan to end in 4 years.

Special Requirements for Refugees

If you are a refugee, send a Refugee Identity Card or family papers that prove it. This helps give spots to people forced from home.
