About the CIPC Internship Programme

CIPC, part of the dtic, runs structured internships to give graduates practical experience. You will apply what you learned in school to daily tasks in a public sector setting. The goal is to prepare you for future jobs while offering a monthly stipend.

Available Internship Opportunities

CIPC has two main internship types open right now.

Records Management Interns (2 Positions)

This role focuses on handling records and information. Reference number: RecManInterns. It runs for 12 months with a stipend of R12 000 per month.

You need a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Records Management, Library and Information Science, or Information Management. Successful interns will organize files, manage data, and support office systems.

E-Communications Interns (2 Positions)

This position deals with electronic communications and admin tasks. Reference number: e-Cominterns. It lasts 24 months and pays R12 000 per month.

A National Diploma in Public Administration is required. Interns will assist with digital messaging, public outreach, and admin duties in a fast-paced environment.

Who Can Apply?

Not everyone qualifies, but many graduates do. You must be a South African citizen, unemployed, aged 18 to 35, and have no prior internship in your study field. These rules ensure fair access for new entrants.

CIPC checks qualifications and citizenship for shortlisted applicants. Foreign degrees need SAQA evaluation.
