How to Apply For CPUT Postgraduate Master’s and Doctoral Studies Online
IMPORTANT: Prospective postgraduate (M&D) students for full research studies must first identify a potential research topic and supervisor before applying. For information on the fields/areas of study and supervisors click here. Acceptance is dependent on a supervisor being available for a specific field of study – applicants should consult with the department before submitting their applications.
Be sure to include the following information when communicating with the department.

- Proposed Qualification
- Proposed field of Research
- Possible supervisor (if known)

Closing dates
The application deadline for first-time master’s and doctoral studies (full research) is 14 March 2025 for both national and international applicants.
The application deadlines for first-time master’s coursework studies are 30 September 2024 (national applicants) and 30 August 2024 (international applicants).
