The Cape Peninsula University of Technology  (CPUT) postgraduate application form for 2027 is open to all qualified applicants irrespective of color, race, ethnic identity, religion, gender, or national origin.

How to Apply For CPUT Postgraduate Master’s and Doctoral Studies Online

IMPORTANT: Prospective postgraduate (M&D) students for full research studies must first identify a potential research topic and supervisor before applying. For information on the fields/areas of study and supervisors click here. Acceptance is dependent on a supervisor being available for a specific field of study – applicants should consult with the department before submitting their applications.

Be sure to include the following information when communicating with the department.

• Student number (if known)
• Proposed Qualification
• Proposed field of Research
• Possible supervisor (if known)

Closing dates

The application deadline for first-time master’s and doctoral studies (full research) is 14 March 2027 for both national and international applicants.

The application deadlines for first-time master’s coursework studies are 30 September 2027 (national applicants) and 30 August 2027 (international applicants).
