1. Internship: Executive Director’s Office

This role falls under the Human Settlements department (Reference Number: 008/2026). You need a diploma or degree at NQF Level 6 or 7 in fields like Business Management, Business Administration, Journalism, Media, Public Administration, or Public Management.

Your duties include giving admin support, helping with research and analysis, and aiding monitoring efforts. You will also work on business plans, reports, strategic planning, HR tasks, compliance, event planning, and communications.

2. Internship: Transport Systems Management

Located in the Transport department (Reference Number: 009/2026), this spot requires a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Town and Regional Planning, or Transport Management.

Expect to help with transport planning, policy rollout, strategy development, traffic studies, stakeholder talks, and transport projects.

3. Internship: Quantity Surveyor

Also in the Transport department (Reference Number: 009/2026), you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying at NQF Level 7.

Tasks cover preparing project quantities, checking costs and invoices, supporting infrastructure programs, handling risk and budgets, and keeping projects on time and within budget.

Minimum Requirements

All applicants must be South African citizens and currently unemployed. You need a relevant diploma or degree at NQF Level 6 or 7. Commit to the full program length, up to 18 months.

Skills and Competencies Required

Stand out with good communication, computer skills like MS Office and Excel, analytical thinking, research ability, detail focus, teamwork or solo work, time management, organization, professionalism, and honesty.
