Human Resources Management and Development Internship

Four positions are open for those with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resources Management or Human Resources Development. These roles will provide hands-on experience in managing and developing the department’s workforce.

Organisational Development Internship

One position is available for graduates with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Management Services, Operations Management, or Production Management. This role focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s structure and processes.

Employment Relations Internship

One internship is offered for individuals holding a Diploma (NQF 6) in Labour Relations. This position will involve working with the department’s employee relations matters.

Financial Management and Accounting Internship

Three positions are open for those with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Financial Management or Accounting. Interns will gain experience in managing the department’s finances and ensuring accurate accounting practices.

Supply Chain Management Internship

Four positions are available for graduates with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Management, Purchasing, or Transport Management. These roles are crucial for the efficient procurement and management of goods and services.

Internal Audit Internship

Three positions are offered for those with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Internal Auditing or Risk Management. Interns will contribute to ensuring the department’s operations are compliant and risks are effectively managed.

Information Communication and Technology Internship

Four positions are available for individuals with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Computer Science or Information Technology. These roles will support the department’s technological infrastructure and services.

Communication Internship

Two positions are open for graduates with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Journalism, Marketing and Communication, or Communication. These roles will involve developing and disseminating departmental information to the public and stakeholders.

Legal Services Internship

Three positions are available for those holding an LLB Degree (NQF 6) in Law. Interns will gain experience in providing legal advice and support to the department.

Office of the Director-General Internship

Two positions are offered for graduates with a Diploma (NQF 6) in Management, Business Management, Administration, Public Management, Office Management, or a related administration qualification. These roles provide exposure to high-level administrative functions within the department.

General Requirements for Applicants

To be eligible for any of these internship positions, applicants must meet several general requirements. They must be unemployed South African citizens and possess a Grade 12 certificate (NQF 4). Crucially, candidates must hold the specific qualification required for the internship they are applying for and must not have participated in a prior internship program. A genuine interest in gaining work experience within the Public Service sector is also a key consideration.
