Programme Duration and Location

The internship program is set to last for two years. It will take place at the Nongoma Local Municipality offices in Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Successful candidates will be appointed on fixed-term contracts for the duration of the program.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Have completed Grade 12.
  • Possess a minimum NQF Level 6 qualification.
  • Hold a qualification in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or Management Accounting.
  • Alternatively, have an equivalent qualification with Accounting as a major subject.
  • Have at least Level 3 Accounting knowledge, where applicable.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be computer literate.

Applicants’ academic records must clearly show the relevant Accounting or Finance subjects.
