About the PSiRA Internship Programme

Stipend Details

  • For Diploma or Degree holders (NQF 6/7): R7,700 per month.
  • For TVET N6 students: R4,950 per month.

Graduate Internship Opportunities

PSiRA has specific internships for graduates with relevant degrees. Here are the main ones:

Legal Services Internship

Available in Centurion, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban. You need an LLB or similar qualification. This role involves legal work in the security industry.

Business Information Technology Internship

Based in Centurion. Requires a degree in IT, Information Systems, or Computer Science. Interns assist with tech systems and data management.

Human Capital Management Internship

In Centurion. Needs a qualification in HR or Industrial Psychology. Focuses on staff training and development.

Performance Monitoring & Evaluation Internship

Located in Centurion. Open to Public Administration or Business Administration graduates. Involves tracking program results and improvements.

Supply Chain Management Internship

Centurion-based. For Supply Chain or Logistics qualifications. Deals with procurement and logistics tasks.

Law Enforcement Administration Internship

In Centurion and Bellville. Suits Business, Public Management, or Office Management grads. Supports admin in law enforcement areas.

Facilities Administration Internship

In Centurion. Requires Business or Public Administration studies. Handles facility operations and maintenance.

Registration Internship

Based in Bellville. For Business or Public Administration qualifications. Processes security business registrations.

Industry Training Internship

Needs N6 in Business Management, ETDP, or Training. Helps develop training programs for the security sector.

TVET N6 Placement Opportunities

TVET students with N6 certificates can apply for placements in departments like:

  • Finance (Accounts Receivable, Payable, Assets)

  • Law Enforcement Administration

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be unemployed.
  • Have a relevant Diploma, Degree, or N6 Certificate.
  • Want to gain workplace experience.
