Programme Purpose
This apprenticeship aims to turn learners into qualified electrical artisans. It gives hands-on practice with industrial electrical systems. You will also build skills in maintenance, fixing problems, and making processes run better.
Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will finish the full 3- to 4-year programme. You must keep your work area safe and clean. Follow all rules for safety, health, and the environment. Help repair and maintain plant equipment. Find and fix breakdowns. Work to improve plant systems and processes. Build strong knowledge of machinery and electrical setups.
Minimum Requirements
To apply, you need a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science. A National Technical Certificate (N3) in Electrical or a related field is required. An Electrical Engineering qualification (N4 to N6) will give you an edge.
Key Skills and Competencies
You should have a good feel for engineering. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills help a lot. Pay close attention to details. Work well alone or with a team. Be physically fit with clear vision, and not colour blind. Be ready for shift work and overtime. Agree to training in Johannesburg.
