South African National Parks (SANParks) offers exciting graduate internship opportunities in 2026 for young South Africans looking to start their careers. These positions provide hands-on experience in important areas like human resources, tourism, and finance at Marakele National Park in Limpopo. If you are an unemployed graduate aged 18 to 35, this 24-month program could be your chance to gain skills in a top conservation organization.

Human Capital Management (1 Post)

You need a diploma or degree in Human Resources Management. Tasks include handling recruitment, managing employee records, supporting labour relations, and assisting with training and performance reviews. This role teaches you the basics of people management in a government setting.

Tourism Department (1 Post)

A diploma or degree in Tourism or Hospitality Management is required. You will work on visitor services, reservation systems, eco-tourism programs, and improving customer experiences. This position lets you help protect parks while serving guests.

Finance Department (1 Post)

Applicants should have a diploma or BCom in Finance. Duties cover budgeting, financial reporting, procurement rules, and asset management. Gain skills in handling public money responsibly.

Administration (Accounting) (1 Post)

A diploma in Accounting qualifies you. You will support bookkeeping, process financial transactions, do reconciliations, and prepare compliance documents. This builds a strong base for accounting careers.

Internship Stipend

Interns earn between R6,355.69 and R10,486.58 per month. The amount depends on your qualification: diplomas get the lower range, while degrees receive the higher one. This support helps cover basic living costs during the program.

Minimum Requirements

To apply, you must be a South African citizen who is unemployed and aged 18 to 35. Hold an NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification from a recognized institution. You should have no prior internship or work experience in your field.

Required Documents

Submit an updated CV, certified ID copy, certified matric certificate, certified qualifications, and academic transcript. Email these with your application. Missing items will lead to disqualification.
