Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB)

These programs cover key areas in banking:

  • Transaction Banking: Open to graduates in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, data science, or computer science.
  • Quantitative Programme: Suited for those with degrees in actuarial science, mathematical finance, mathematics, statistics, or engineering.
  • Risk Management: Ideal for financial mathematics, risk management, economics, or environmental science.
  • Investment Banking: For engineering, accounting, economics, financial sciences, or risk management.
  • Global Markets: Targets applied mathematics, data science, engineering, or quantitative risk.
  • Technology Programme: For computer science, AI and machine learning, software engineering, or data engineering.
  • Finance Programme: Accepts various postgraduate degrees, but not auditing.

Personal & Private Banking (PPB)

These focus on operations and analysis:

  • Credit Operations Programme: For operations management, risk management, or business administration.
  • Data Science Programme: Open to data science, statistics, computer science, or applied mathematics.
  • Risk Programme: Suited for statistics, econometrics, behavioural economics, or data science.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must meet these basics:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have completed or be finishing a postgraduate qualification like Honours or Masters in 2026.
  • Show a strong academic record.
  • Have interest in financial services and banking.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
