Available Apprenticeships
TotalEnergies offers two main apprenticeships.
Millwright Apprenticeship
This program teaches mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial plant. You will learn to fix and maintain equipment in a busy setting.
Instrument Mechanician Apprenticeship
This one covers instrumentation, control systems, and plant operations in manufacturing. You will work on systems that keep factories running smoothly.
About the Apprenticeship Programme
Candidates will train at the Lubricants Manufacturing Plant in Durban on Wharfside and Causeway Road. The program mixes workplace training with classroom lessons. You will join experienced teams, fill logbooks, and pass assessments. It builds skills for long-term jobs in engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Apprentices handle daily tasks with care. Follow health, safety, and environmental standards at all times. Wear proper personal protective equipment. Help with plant maintenance and operations. Attend training and complete paperwork like timesheets and logbooks. Report any hazards or incidents right away. Be ready for overtime or shift work.
Minimum Requirements
You need a Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science. Or hold an N3, N4, N5, or N6 in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Less than three years of experience is fine.
Additional Requirements
Be physically fit for the job. You must work at heights on tanks and platforms. Handle confined spaces inside tanks. Thrive in an industrial environment.
