The University of Dar es Salaam is home to most qualified and internationally acknowledged scholars in Africa. By this announcement, applications are now open to qualified candidates from Tanzania, the East and Southern African region and beyond, who wish to pursue undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2018/2019.

The University of Dar es salaam (UDSM) offers various academic programmes leading to the award of certificates, diplomas, and degrees. A total of 88 Undergraduate Degree Programmes are offered at various academic units of the University.  You may download the UDSM Admission Procedures Guidebook from Entry Requirements for information about all programmes and their requirements.

Applications for admission are invited from qualified candidates wishing to pursue various undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2018/2019. All requisite information and guidelines to take the applicant through the application stages are provided from the Instructions tab. Applicants are reminded to register their names as they appear in their O & A level certificates; likewise their index numbers where prompted.

All Direct applicants with Foreign Certificates should first present their certificates to the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for verification. They will in turn be given letters showing NECTA equivalent grades, copies of which should also be uploaded together with other certifcates. Further information on NECTA verification can be obtained from www.necta.go.tz.

Equivalent applicants are advised to obtain a special unique number from National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) which will be required when applying in the system. For further information about NACTE verification process please consult them at www.nacte.go.tz.
