University of Zambia Golden Jubilee Ceremony Schedule – UNZA Invitation: 50 Years of Excellence, Service and Training of Health Care Professionals.
We are pleased to inform you that the University of Zambia will be celebrating 50 years of service and excellence in the training of health care professionals anchored by the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing Sciences, the School of Public Health and the School of Health Sciences.
Following the setup of the School of Medicine in 1968, the human capital development for the health sector and the resulting impact on national development has been outstanding. In 2015, the University of Zambia expanded the training of health care professionals from one School – the School of Medicine to four Schools namely – Medicine, Health Sciences, Nursing Sciences and Public Health. This expansion has helped in creating capacity to qualify an average 200 graduates per year.
Today, we are grateful to the nation and all our stakeholders for helping us achieve over the last 50 years. We look forward to our continued success in partnership with you over the coming 50 years.
In a weeklong of commemorative activities therefore, we will showcase our achievements through a series of exhibitions to be displayed at the Ridgeway Campus on the following days:
